1.0 PROFILE IN BRIEF
Alhaja Muslimat Mojisola Salau was born on February 17th February 1951 in Ibadan Oyo state.
She had her Primary School Education at Nawarudeen Primary School, Inalende in Ibadan, from 1956-1961; Secondary School at Ife Girls High School in Ile-Ife now in Osun State from 1962-1964, and African Church Grammar School, Ibadan Oyo State from 1965-1968.
She attended the University of Ibadan where she bagged a BSc degree in Zoology in 1975.
After her National Youth Service Corps Programme in Kano state, she proceeded to the United States of America where she had her Masters Degree in Teaching Biology in 1978.
As an undergraduate she served as a Research Assistant where she analyzed soil samples from Port Harcourt for Pan African Oil Company through the Department of Agronomy, University of Ibadan-summer of 1972/73, 1973/74. She started her teaching career at St. Johns Grammar School, Ile-Ife, Osun State in October 1976.
She taught in several schools in Ile- Ife, Osun State where she rose to the position of a Principal in 1995. As a member of the All Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), she held many positions of the conference at many zones that she served.
She served as a Zonal Supervisor of Education at Ogbomoso TESCOM Zonal Office in the year 2001.
She served as Principal between year 2001 and 2011 in Oyo state.
1.1 CAREER PROGRESSION
She retired as a Principal of Senior Secondary School in Ibadan Oyo State in February 2011.
She has a few dissertations to her credit:
A) Ichytyo-Geography of West Africa: An undergraduate seminar given at the department of Zoology University of Ibadan, April 1974, in partial fulfillment for the award of Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology;
B) The diet of Arunran in relation to sex and size: BSc Dissertation submitted to the Department of Zoology University of Ibadan Nigeria, in partial fulfilment for the award of Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology;
C) The effect of diet on Larval Development of Palemon Microdactylus Rathbun: MSc Thesis submitted to the Department of Biology at the college of Notre Dame, Belmont California USA. She is happily married but widowed with children and grandchildren.
